CO-CONVENER
​Darío Luis Banegas
is Senior Lecturer in Language Education at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh, UK. He leads a master’s course on second language teaching curriculum. He also leads the Towards Intersectionality in Language Teacher Education (TILTED) Research Group at the University of Edinburgh. His main areas of interest are: language curriculum development, CLIL, social justice, action research, and language teacher education.

Mercedes Querol-Julián is a Senior Lecturer in Applied Linguistics at the Department of English Teaching, Universidad Internacional de La Rioja (Spain). Her main research interests include multimodal literacy, multimodal analysis, digital interaction, digital teaching, English-medium instruction, and teacher professional development. She leads the research group Personal and Professional Development through Digital Genres (PRODIGI) at Universidad Internacional de La Rioja.

EVENT ORGANISER
Kevin Gerigk holds a PhD in Linguistics from Lancaster University, UK. His research interests broadly comprise the fields of TESOL (ELT, ESP/EAP) and Corpus Linguistics. He is particularly interested in developing and using corpus-driven teaching methods and corpus-informed teaching materials, and DDL-approaches in language education. He has given talks on the topics of teaching methodologies in Spain as well as on the topics of Corpus Linguistics for translation studies, teacher education and ELT in the UK, Ireland, Germany and Chile. In addition, he is teaching UG and PG modules in the UK and Chile.

TREASURER
Alan Huang is currently the Director of PGT at Strathclyde Institute of Education. He is the founding Director of two postgraduate programmes: MSc TESOL and Intercultural Communication and the iPGCE, which has made a significant impact on the Strathclyde curriculum. He is a Trustee for Scotland China Education Network (SCEN). Alan’s research focuses on three areas: second/foreign language education, digital technologies in education and teacher professional learning. He is particularly interested in exploring the sociocultural and dialogic underpinnings of these areas of inquiry.

OUTREACH COORDINATOR​
Tomasz John is a Teaching Fellow in TESOL and the Director of Global Engagement at the Institute of Education, University of Strathclyde, UK. He leads a range of BA and MSc modules including Global Englishes, Language Awareness - Knowledge about Language and Research Methods for TESOL. Tomasz is the Outreach Coordinator at this SIG and the BAAL Social Justice for Language Education SIG. His main areas of interest are: language education, social justice and internationalisation of HE.

OUTREACH OFFICER​
Steve Brown is a lecturer in TESOL at the University of Glasgow. He is involved in a number of courses on the MSc and MEd TESOL programmes, and is the convenor of the TESOL Curriculum course. His main research interests are related to English language programme design, materials development and evaluation, language teaching policy, and the application of critical theory in TESOL.

Vicent Beltrán-Palanques is an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at Universitat Jaume I (Spain). He teaches ESP and EAP courses and courses related to action research in the context of language teaching. His research interests include multimodal literacy, multimodal analysis, English-medium education, and ESP/EAP pedagogies. He is a member of a member of two research teams, the Research Group on Academic and Professional English (GRAPE) and the Personal and Professional Development through Digital Genres (PRODIGI).
